Privacy Policy

What we collect

• Account details — email address, display name, and optional avatar and bio.
• Project requests — trade, ZIP, city and state, description, budget range, timeline, your name, email, optional phone, and any photos you attach.
• Messages — the content of messages you exchange with a member business about a request.
• Applications — business or school details, license and insurance information, and documents uploaded as evidence.
• Usage — profile view counts used to give members listing statistics.

How we use it

To deliver your project request to the member businesses you selected, to run messaging between you and those businesses, to review membership applications, to bill memberships, to send notification emails you have not turned off, and to show members statistics about their own listing.

Who sees your information

A project request and its contact details are visible to the member businesses you send it to, and to no other members. Public directory pages show only listing information published by the member business or school. Homeowner profiles are not public.

We use service providers to operate the platform: Supabase (database, authentication, file storage) and Stripe (payments). Card details are handled by Stripe and are never stored by us. We do not sell personal information.

Uploaded files

Project photos and application documents are stored in private buckets. Access is limited to the people involved in that request or application, and to administrators reviewing an application.

Email preferences

Notification emails for new requests, new messages, and digests can be turned off in your dashboard settings. Transactional emails about your account or billing are still sent.

Retention and deletion

We keep account, request, and application records while your account is active and for as long as needed for billing and dispute records. To request access to, correction of, or deletion of your information, email privacy@plumbb.builders. We will confirm your identity before acting on a request.

Children

The platform is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16.

Changes

If this policy changes materially we will update the date above and note the change on the site.
