For homeowners
- Does it cost anything to find a pro?
- No. Searching the directory, reading listings, and sending a project request are free for homeowners. There is no account required to browse.
- Is my project request sent to several companies at once?
- No. Your request goes to the business you chose. We do not sell, resell, or broker homeowner contact details.
- What does 'verified' actually mean?
- Each badge is tied to a document a reviewer checked — a license, a certificate of insurance, veteran-owned proof. It confirms the paperwork matched on the date it was reviewed. It is not a guarantee of workmanship or price.
- Who am I contracting with?
- The member business, directly. Plumbb Builders is not a party to your agreement and does not set pricing, schedule, or scope.
- Can I leave a review?
- Yes. Reviews tied to a project request that went through the platform are marked verified. Members cannot delete reviews on their own listing.
- A listing looks wrong. What do I do?
- Report it and we will re-review the documents behind it. Listings that fail re-review are suspended.
For member businesses & schools
- What does membership cost?
- A flat monthly fee by plan — Basic $50, Plus $100, Premium $200, Elite $300. There are no per-lead charges, commissions, or job fees on any plan.
- What is different between the plans?
- The directory listing itself is identical on every plan. What scales is marketing space: videos, portfolio photos, published articles, placement weight, and community outreach features.
- Do I pay before I'm approved?
- You pay the first month at checkout when you submit. If the application is not approved, that payment is refunded automatically.
- How long does review take?
- A reviewer checks your documents against your listing claims. If something does not line up we come back with a request for more information rather than rejecting outright.
- When do I get an account?
- At approval. Applying does not create an account — the application is saved to a private draft link until it is reviewed.
- Can I pause my listing?
- Yes. A paused listing stays in your dashboard but stops appearing in directory results, which is the right move when you are booked out.
- Can I cancel?
- Yes, at any time from your dashboard. Cancellation stops future billing; see the refunds page for how the current period is handled.
- I'm a realtor or mortgage professional — can I join?
- Yes, as a visibility listing. Those categories are listed for discovery and direct contact only; they do not receive routed project requests, which keeps the platform clear of referral-fee issues under RESPA.
About the company
- Is Plumbb Builders a nonprofit?
- No. It is a for-profit company that operates a paid membership directory.
- Do you employ or place the people listed?
- No. Plumbb Builders does not employ, contract, train, place, assign, supervise, or hire anyone in the directory. Every listing is an independent business.
- Is the Licensing Navigator legal advice?
- No. It is informational only. Verify licensing requirements with the relevant state board and VA benefit eligibility with the VA.
- Do you have to be a veteran to be listed?
- The network is for veteran-owned businesses and the trade schools that train veterans. Veteran ownership is checked as part of the application.
